INTRODUCTION TO TEXT ENCRYPTION FOR BEGINNER ( GPA -- PGP4WIN)

This is tut was first posted on reddit by MLP_is_my_OPSEC and Deepdotweb.... all credits to them.

This tut is based on using GPG4WIN... should work on windows 7 up.

First things always first... Download Gpg4win from here *no need to explain gpg and encryption... that is what google is for**
I recommend you download the full version and it is free of course for all.

Lets install the tools now

Gpa is not selected by default so check the box to install it.

Let us proceed to create our keys

You should remember that every individual is supposed to have unique different keys.
To generate keys, go to keys/new key or CTRL+N

Fill the details with hopefully fake information but be sure to always remember the password u choose because there is is no password recovery yet.

Now when asked to backup your keys kindly do so.

View the keys with notepad... the file has a .asc extension (ends with .asc)
Both the public and private keys should be in that file. Give out the public to anyone who would like to send you an encrypted message.

----END PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK---

**** fIND KEYS AFTER YOU CLOSE THE NOTEPAD WITHOUT SAVING****

i. Open my computer and show hidden folders and files
ii. Go to * yourcomputername\Appdata\roaming\gnupg
iii. Your file should end with .asc (the only file ending with .asc extension for now)

****IMPORTING KEYS OF OTHERS SO YOU CAN SEND THEM MESSAGES WITH THEIR PUBLIC KEY SO THE CAN DECRYPT (DO NOT ENCRYPT WITH ANY OF YOUR KEYS WHEN SENDING AN ENCRYPTED MESSAGE TO SOMEONE****

>> Copy the person's public key to a new notpad and do not save or close the notepad with the public key.

>> Open Gpa from wherever you saved it to.

>> Go to files and click on import keys

>> Select the notepad file you have opened in the background

>> this should be interface on successful key import

SENDING ENCRYPTED MESSAGES

Open GPA on your pc

Click on clipbox

Now type the message you want to send and click on encrypted at the top

Now select the email or what ever the owner used user<email> (use the public key you imported from the one you are messaging) or just use your own username for this tut.

After selecting who is receiving click on Encrypt to get the encrypted message.

Now send everything to the owner of the public key that was used.

DECRYPTING MESSAGES SENT TO YOU ENCRYPTED WITH YOUR PUBLIC KEY

Copy the whole thing to clipboard in Gpa and click on decrypt
