HOW TO FIX INVALID IMEI/ NO SIGNAL ON ANDROID
For those of us who have been hit with invalid IMEI or simply no network dues to wrong flashing process of a custom Rom know how frustrating this is.
Follow this tutorial to fix this error. It worked for me so I hope it would work for you.
This on of the best ways I know....
1. Download CM IME FIX and CHAMELEPHON. NOTE THAT YOU NEED CUSTOM RECOVERY AND ROOT ACCESS TO USE THE FILES RESPECTIVELY.
2. Install
CHAMELEPHONE and uncompress CM IMEI FIX. Use any app to unzip but
recommend ROOT EXPLORER (I will be using ROOT EXPLORER through the
tutorial).
3. Open Root Explorer ( it has two tabs; root and storage). Tap on the Root tab and Navigate to "data", tap to open. There should be an "nvram" folder, long press and copy.
4. Tap on the storage Tab and navigate to "Speed Software", tap to open then tap to open the "Extracted" folder.
5. There should be a folder by name "CM IMEI FIX" that is if the extraction was successful. Open it and open "data folder.
6. Delete the"nvram" folder in the "data" folder. Now paste the "nvram" we copied earlier to the folder.
7. Go back to the main folder, long press any of the files there to select. Now select all the files, compress to zip giving it any name u will remember. Copy/cut the zip file to the root of your SD card.
8. Now boot to recovery mod, flash the zip you just made ( I would prefer you wipe partition, wipe cache , and if you have a custom Rom in the SD then FORMAT system, cache, and data, then install the Rom before you flash the IMEI fix . This is more reliable). Do Not Wipe Anything after flashing the IMEI FIX.
9. Reboot your device normally now. One booting the IMEI will be fixed. If not fixed do not worry.
10. While the device is still searching for service open dial pad and type *#06#, If you get IMEI INVALID pop then continue with the rest of the tutorial else the numbers which pop means your IMEI has been fixed.
11. While the phone is still searching for service, Open Chamelephon and tap on Generate IMEI the Tap on Apply IMEI.
12. Reboot your device. Now check your IMEI with dial pad, If numbers pop up then you have fixed your IMEI else start over... This worked for me.
Hope it works for You and share to help someone out.
