HOW TO EDIT/MOD ANDROID APPS
This tutorial is going to give you the basics of editing android apps. The tools provided are all free and easy to use.
Things Needed:
- JAVA
- Advanced APK Tool by BDFreak Here
- The App you want to use. I will be using CODEME app for this, download here www.byong.org/codeme.apk. This is a direct download link so copy and paste the link into downloader to download. Or download here
- Get the files You would like to change in the app. I will be changing colours and emojis only in this tut.
- If you are not good with the image editing then use LunaPic to edit and resize images. Images in most cases must be of the same format.
- Download emojis from http://www.simple7ech.xyz/2016/01/special-emoji-for-modders.html
- Download and install the Java like installing any normal app on your PC.
- Download and unzip the AdvanceAPK tool. The Files after unzipping should be
- Paste the app into the "2-In" folder
- Now run Advanced APktool with admin privilege.
- Press "2" to enter decompile option 1 to decompile , AND "y" to confirm
- IF SUCCESSFUL, CHECK THE FOLDER "OUT" FOR THE APPS NAME ON A FOLDER (THAT FOLDER IS THE DE-COMPILED APP)
- OPENED THE FOLDER IN "OUT" WITH APPS NAME ON IT
- OPEN "RES>DRAWABLE". LOCATE THE EMOJIS
- YOU SHOULD RESIZE AND CHANGE YOUR EMOJIS NAMES TO THE ONES IN THE DRAWABLE FOLDER WHICH YOU WOULD LIKE TO EDIT
- NOW REPLACE THEM IN THE DRAWABLE FOLDER
- GO TO ADVANCED APKTOOL AND INPUT "3" TO COMPILE. CHANGED BUT THAT IS FOR ANOTHER DAY. CHOOSE THE NUMBER NEXT TO THE APP NAME
- CHOOSE THE COMPILING TYPE YOU WANT. I PREFER RECOMPILE ONLY
- IF SUCCESSFUL GO BACK TO THE MAIN FOLDER AND OPEN THE "DONE" FOLDER
- COPY THE APP TO YOUR PHONE AND INSTALL
- IF APPS FAILS TO INSTALL, DOWNLOAD "ZIPSIGN" AND SIGN THE APK YOU COPIED TO YOUR PHONE AND INSTALL THE SIGNED APP
- THIS SHOULD WORK AND CHECK OUT THE APP YOU HAVE EDITED
